Casa Delauze's story
After 3 years of construction, in 1981 Henri Germain Delauze inaugurated a magnificent villa on stilt: the Casa Delauze.
Located on the Vieux-Port of Marseille, inbetween the Sofitel and the Fort Ganteaume, the Casa Delauze is unique in Marseille.
Its interior shaped like submarines is as fascinating as the story of its owner : diving equipment, corals and memories of exotic trips make it a museum.
The venue offers a deep sea diving while staying on land.
Henri Germain Delauze
Thanks to his passion for technological challenges and his personal commitment, Henri Germain Delauze, founding president of the Comex, has enable the creation of a new industry which has contributed to the reputation of Marseille and on all oceans.
« This is my grandparent’s house. And it’s such a beautiful place I couldn’t keep it to myself. Everybody asked “but why don’t you live there?” But what for? I’d be the only one enjoying it? No. I want the house to be open for everyone, as many as possible. I want them to realise what my grand dad has accomplished »
